Hacking

Ultimate escape in stunning countryside surroundings for riders that enjoy the outside experience, winter, spring, summer and autumn bring some spectacular changes to our countryside, riding well mannered, willing horses enhances that experience.

Situated in the countryside, Knights Place Farm Equestrian has miles of off road hacking, many of our hacks include forest, woods, bridleways encountering some of the prettiest scenery in Kent.

hacking knightsplaceWe offer hacking for competent riders or for those with little or no riding experience. We have a selection of horses to suit different abilities and weights, although the maximum weight we cater for is 15 and a half stone. Hacks are available for just one rider or for groups of up to 5 riders. All rides are varied and interesting and our surroundings change beautifully with every season so you’ll never get bored. Riding in the open countryside offers fantastic opportunities to experience what riding is all about and it’s a great way to improve your fitness levels too.

Our 1 hour hacks normally include walk, trot and canter around our immediate surroundings, we’ll take you off through the woods or open fields for a lovely canter before making our way back after an exhilarating ride. For those wishing a more relaxed gentle hack we can take you at a slower pace taking in our beautiful surroundings.

We also offer 2 hour hacks, a lovely way to relax and allow you to ride out a little further. These longer hacks truly are an idyllic way to take in the countryside around you that normally goes un-noticed in our busy schedules.

Hacks are available week days & weekends. Evening hacks are available in the summer months. Our clients are always escorted by experienced staff to ensure your safety at all times.

Group riding is organised so that riders (maximum of 5) are of comparable ability. Bespoke hacks for special occasions or so that friends and family with mixed ability may ride together can be arranged.
